The sun is shining and summer is in full swing – so it’s time to get out, and enjoy the warm weather in all its glory. Why not head to The George at Kilsby and get your teeth stuck into a dish from our carefully curated summer menu? And with the evenings getting warmer, this is your chance to take full advantage of our irresistible alfresco set-up – we’re talking serious holiday vibes right now.

Are you planning a visit to The George at Kilsby? Here are our top dishes to try this summer.

Wings

Does it get any better than a plate of wings in the summer? We don’t know what makes them so delicious – whether it’s that mouthwatering crunch that comes with every bite, or the tastebud-tingling flavours that follow, but we simply can’t resist them.

At The George at Kilsby, we have three sauces to choose from: your classic buffalo, sticky Jack Daniels or our personal favourite, Korean crispy delights. Spoilt for choice, right? If you’re dining out with friends or family, why not order all three and share? Genius.

Lebanese Plate

There’s something about having a little bit of everything on one plate that really fires up our senses. That’s why our Lebanese Plate has made it into our list of top dishes that you need to try this summer. It includes beetroot tahini, feta crumb, pomegranate, edamame, garlic hummus, roasted aubergine, rose harissa yoghurt, fried capers, tzatziki, pickled peppers and egg Za’atar, all beautifully presented on a pita flatbread. Did we mention you can add crispy halloumi or lamb kofta?

Talk about a plate bursting with flavour. You can literally taste all that summery goodness by simply reading about it.

Old Delhi Chicken Tikka Salad

We can’t talk about summer and not include a salad, right? With Asian-inspired flavours, you won’t be able to resist our Old Delhi Chicken Tikka Salad. Complete with pickled veg and grilled pineapple, topped with mint, tamarind and jaggery dressing – this is refreshingly good.

Classic Caesar Salad

Nothing beats a Classic Ceaser Salad – that is, unless you’re visiting The George at Kilsby, of course. As well as plain and chicken options, you could always take a walk on the wild side and top yours off with Cajun shrimp? Go on, you know you want to.

Beetroot, Chickpea, Dahl and Curry Leaf Burger

Fancy a burger, but want something slightly more adventurous than your beef classic? Our vegetarian option is ideal. With a blend of beetroot and chickpea, infused with dahl and curry leaf flavours, served in a flatbread, topped with gherkin, lettuce, pink onion and tzatziki, this dish is sure to deliver this summer.

Not only is this gluten-free, but if you scrap the tzatziki, it’s suitable for vegans too.

Passion Fruit Cheese Cake

To end, enjoy a Passion Fruit Cheese Cake. The citrussy hints of sweet and sour that come with the passion fruit, complement the smooth dairy filling perfectly, with the base adding a layer of crunch with every mouthful. It’s refreshingly satisfying and everything you want to finish off your meal.
